Information You Send
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. The site’s own servers do not keep a copy of those searches. A message sent to the contact address is used only to read and answer what the message contains.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting may record ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. That information is reviewed in aggregate for service health and broad page use. Basic analytics or advertising tools may use cookies or similar technology where enabled.
How Information Is Used
Technical information supports site operation, problem fixing, traffic measurement, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built for the reference service.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who May Process It
Hosting providers and other service providers may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. Disclosure occurs when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is limited to operating support.
Security Measures
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. There are no user accounts, passwords, or stored personal profiles on the service.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Utah Privacy Rights
Depending on the circumstances, Utah’s Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code §13-61-201, may provide access, deletion, portability, or opt-out rights for data held by a covered controller, subject to statutory limits. Because this service keeps little visitor data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Utah state, county, or city offices are outside this service’s control, so removal or correction requests go to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
